可能有同学不知道什么是意群：

意群是指句子中按意思和结构划分出的各个成分，每一个成分即称为一个意群。同一意群中的词与词的关系紧密相关，密不可分，否则会引起误解。 （或者你理解为，意群就是一句话中意思相对独立的词群）。

我们可以根据意群进行断句，意群是英语句子意思理解的最小单位。我们一般在以下位置断句：

意群断句的位置：

1. 连词：

    逻辑连接词：and, although, but, because ,so … 

2. 引导词：

    引导词 which, where, why, how等和关系代词who, which, whom, what, that等 

3. 介词 

4. 分词，形容词，不定式 短语（分词，包括现在分词和过去分词，形容词短语做定语和状语）

比如，以下这个句子可以在介词位置划分

I come to China ／at an important time.

我来到中国，正逢一个重要的时刻。
