1. 过去进行时
①用法：一般来说，表示过去某个时刻或某一时段正在发生的动作，常用过去进行时
②构成：was\were + 动词ing
③标志词：at …点钟 yesterday\last year，at this\that time yesterday\last year等过去时间
④否定句：wasn’t\weren’t
2. 当……的时候
①while  后面只能加进行时（过去进行时 现在进行时）
②when  后面不仅能加过去时或一般现在时，还能加进行时（过去进行时 现在进行时）
3. fall down 跌倒，掉下    fall behind 跟不上，落在……后面

fall into 落入……中     fall off 从……上掉下来   fall asleep 入睡

形容词strange作后置定语，修饰不定代词nothing。在英语中，当形容修饰不定代词something\anything\nothing\everything等时，形容词必须放在不定代词后面，作后置定语。

相似结构：

I am ready to do my first jump 10 months after a skydiving (特技跳伞) accident. I can’t wait! That accident almost killed(杀死) me and it made me stay in hospital for half a year. During the boring long days. I didn’t feel good. “How could I live without my favourite sport?” I thought.

 It all started one evening after a nine-to-five day. I was sitting at home when an ad(广告) came on the television. “Try skydiving,” it said. The next day, I went to the skydiving school in my town. At the end of the day’s lessons. I knew I found the right sport for me.
