汉字从甲骨文走来,历经金文、篆书、隶书、楷书,不仅是中国人语言交流的符号,更蕴藏着深厚丰富的文化意蕴。11月17日,浦西校区大礼堂响起了老师填词学生演唱的汉字英雄决赛主题曲,四五年级汉字英雄决赛在歌声中拉开帷幕。让我们先来通过一段视频感受下现场的气氛吧!
Chinese characters have evolved from the inscriptions on oracle bones, Jin, Zhuan, Li, Kai, being the symbol of communications in China and representing the profound culture of the nation’s history. On November 17, students gathered in the auditorium at the Puxi campus, singing the theme song of the competition written by SHSID Chinese teachers. With the warm atmosphere, we welcomed the Chinese Character Final Competition of Grades 4-5. Let’s watch a video first!
每班通过初赛选出2位选手代表,四年级和五年级同学两两组队最终形成4人小组进行决赛。决赛共分为三轮,从字形结构、字词搭配、字音朗读、文化历史等方面对诸位汉字英雄发起了挑战。台下的同学们也十分投入,积极在答题纸上写下答案,热情高涨。

Each fourth and fifth-grade class selected two students in the pre-contest and regrouped into a 4-person team to participate in the competition. There were three rounds of competition, testing participants’ knowledge of character components and structures, collocations, pronunciations, as well as their history and culture. All the students actively participated in the activities, writing down answers on their answer sheets and showing great excitement.
决赛的第一轮考验了同学们对字形、字音的熟悉。屏幕上出现被遮挡住的汉字,同学们需要在挡板全部消失前尽快猜出这个字。“闻弦歌而知雅意”则挑战了同学们是否能正确朗读易错的词语。
The first round of games tested students’ familiarity with the characters’ writing and pronunciation. With only parts of the character given on the screen, students needed to guess the character before all the blockers have disappeared. Additionally, in the game “Listen to the Sound and Get the Meaning”, students were challenged with easily mispronounced phrases.
两个回合的热身之后,真正的比拼还在后头。你能写出多少个“提手旁”的字?语段中有哪些错别字?换掉成语中的一个字可以组成什么新的成语?话音刚落,台上台下的同学们便纷纷在题板上写下自己的答案。除此之外,比赛中还考验了同学们对词语的理解和运用,比如大家需从歌曲的语境中说出词语的引申含义,或从歌词中找出所出现的修辞手法。
After two rounds of warm-up, here came the actual competition. How many characters can you write that have the radical of “hand”? What are the miswritten characters in the paragraphs? What idioms can you get after replacing one character of the original idioms? After hearing these questions, students immediately wrote down their answers on their answer sheets. The competition also tested students’ ability of understanding and applying words, such as finding out the connotations of the words in the context of a song, or looking for the metaphors in the songs provided.
到了最后一轮,比赛进入白热化阶段,比分最高的四组选手争夺着最后的冠军,气氛紧张又刺激。同学们观看了一个以甲骨文为主题的视频,并写下了其中所出现的甲骨文的现代汉字,这考验了同学们对汉字演变的了解和积累。最终,经过三轮的激烈角逐,由4-4班的Brandon和Timmy , 5-2班的Peter和 5-7班的Russell共同组成的第4组赢得了2022年汉字英雄的冠军!在热烈的欢呼声中,国际部初小段副校长刘芳老师为冠军颁奖。
The final round was the most competitive part. In the tense atmosphere, the last four teams competed to be the champions. According to the inscriptions on the oracle bones in the video, students were asked to write all the modern characters of these inscriptions, testing their knowledge of character evolution and history. Finally, after three rounds of fierce competition, Team 4 (4-4 Brandon, 4-4 Timmy, 5-2 Peter, 5-7 Russell) became the champions of the 2022 Chinese Character Competition! Surrounded by exciting cheering, Ms. Liu Fang, the middle and primary school vice principal, awarded the trophy to the champions.
汉字从仓颉造字的神话中一路蜿蜒走来,以方块字的骨骼支撑了中华文明几千年的成长历程。希望同学们能在活动中体悟汉字的魅力和文化精髓,将汉字带向更远的未来。
Chinese characters have experienced a long history with the myth of the Character Creator Cang Jie. The shapes and the strokes of the characters have also witnessed the growth of Chinese culture. Through the engaging activities, students appreciate the beauty of the Chinese characters, keep the essence of the Chinese culture in mind, and carry it to the future.
